John has extensive experience litigating patents spanning a wide range of technologies, including semiconductor design and manufacture, memory devices, image sensors, networking hardware, Power over Ethernet devices, VoIP phones, circuit design, telecommunication hardware, wireless devices, software, and Internet-related technologies. With over a ten year focus on complex patent litigation, John has expertise in all stages of patent disputes, from pre-litigation counseling through trial.

Before practicing law, John was the Manager of Engineering Systems at a leading radio frequency consulting firm and Communications Engineer for a certified frequency coordinator of the Federal Communications Commission. Prior to joining the firm, John was a partner at Howrey LLP and Hogan Lovells US LLP in San Francisco, California.
John earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Virginia, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering at George Washington University, and a J.D. from Washington, and Lee University School of Law.
