We provide leadership, in collaboration with Canadian industry and universities, in the development of the strategic base for information technology; that is, in the development of enabling technologies related to future hardware requirements for information processing, transmission acquisition and display. Our core research includes optoelectronics devices and integration, semicondutor materials and processing, nanodevices, thin film technology and acoustics.
