The Centre consolidates and promotes relevant activities across a number of academic departments within the University, in particular Chemistry, Physics and the School of Engineering. Much current activity is focused on the nanoscale where dimensions and tolerances in the range 0.1 nm to 100 nm play a critical role. Research activity at the Centre includes: Conductive Polymers and Charge-Transfer Compounds, Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) and Related Films, Nanoparticles, Organic Diodes, Field Effect Transistors (FETs) and Hybrid, Devices Microsystems, Polymer Optoelectronics, Nanoelectronics and Organic Light Emitting Displays
